Monica's PhD deals with intermodal competitiveness, and focuses on the cost/price component. Therefore, her
research investigates the pure transport cost, out of pocket cost that the transport operator is bearing. An out-of the pocket tool is developed for the calculation of the transport costs. The model also takes the external cost elements into account that will be considered in case of their internalization.
