Résumé

The environment of Aarschot railway station is viewed by the people of Aarschot as a dilapidated, unattractive spot. The railway forms the barrier between the city centre with its residential and commercial functions on the one hand and the Nieuwland industrial estate and Elzenhof Park on the other. With the urban renewal project ¿Aarschot op sporen!¿
(Aarschot on Track) the city wants to turn the station environment into a transition zone which connects these two worlds.
